If one woman wishes another woman’s boyfriend was hers instead, do you think that means she is jealous or envious?

It does and a lot of the times he isn’t even into the man as much as she’s just jealous of someone else’s relationship and wanting to tear it apart.

It depends on her mindset. If she simply admires the relationship or the way he treats his girlfriend and wishes for something similar, that’s envy she desires something she doesn’t have. But if she feels resentful toward the woman for having him and wants to take him away, that’s jealousy because jealousy involves a fear of losing or a rivalry.

So, if she just wishes for a boyfriend like him, it's envy. If she specifically wants that boyfriend and resents the other woman, it’s jealousy.
