Why did she friendzone me?

I’m really confused. I met this girl off a dating app and we’ve been talking for a few weeks. I’ve taken her out a few times and everything has been going great. We’ve made out a handful of times. Well I took her out earlier today and out of no where she just says she just wants to be friends. I won’t lie, I was very close to having one of those “nice guy” crash outs. But I held back and all I said was “that’s unfortunate but I’ve got many friends and I don’t need anymore.” I ended the date early after that and told her to call an Uber. Now she’s texting me like nothing happened. I haven’t responded to any of the reels she sent me or any of the selfies. What makes it even more confusing is early on she made me a playlist on Spotify full of a bunch of love and raunchy song. She would also send me relationship reels. As I’m writing this she’s blowing my phone up. Honestly I’m quite hurt and quite angry. I really want to go no contact but I really liked this girl.

Okay, I just want to start off by saying the right woman for you isn't going to friendzone you. Sometimes, people just aren't a match. I understand you are angry and hurt but everything happens for a reason. Now, to respond to your question, there are several reasons why she may still be trying to keep contact with you. She could be regretting her decision, she could be trying to leave you on the hook as a backup plan, she could be using you for ego fuel/validation, maybe she doesn't really know what she wants or maybe her life is a mess right now and she has some things to figure out within herself. There's several other reasons why she might not want to let you go, but one thing's for sure. She is just not the right woman for you. My best advice to you is take it as a win and learn from the experience. Then move on with your life and find the right woman for you.

It’s better for you to go no contact because if you reply at any capacity going forward she’ll think your ok with friendship, and that’s just not the case. As for what happened, it doesn’t have to be anything specific. It can just be a matter of losing interest or even talking to another guy she met through the app and wanting to pursue him more.

That happens a lot. My friend use to always complain all the time to me because he wasted so much time talking to some of women on tinder and they would either flake or try to be friends.

He is married now, so I don't have to hear about it anymore, but I know what you mean you sound just like my friend lol.

Oh well, she messaged me apologizing and saying she made a mistake. She wants to try again. I’ve been ignoring her. I’m pretty much over her at this point, I don’t play those stupid games.
