Do you ever get hung up on someone you nearly dated?

I met this girl not too long ago flirted a bunch was at first going to be a hookup but I expressed an interest in taking her out for a date, she agreed and it warmed up to a point she came round to mine told me she had a crush on me face-to-face.

I rushed things along overdid the flirting so when I scheduled a date she pulled back, but we kept as friends even saying we'll keep that door open between us as a never-say-never.

Still hung up on her though, tonight she went on a date with someone and I won't lie I feel pretty shitty. I've been trying to shake my feelings for her for some time now and it's hard, especially that she's part of the same friend group as me I don't get really get a chance to not be around her.

I wouldn't say "hung up". I wouldn't even call it regrets. But I do have those "what if" moments. Mainly because you look at the quality of women that is still on the market as you get older. Good women do not stay single. So that leaves a higher concentration of low quality in what is left.
