What's it like dating a girl with a kid?

Is there a lot of issues with the baby daddy typically? I mean usually the original dad is always going to be in the picture. Yes, I'm 35 and asking this. I don't ever get far enough with women to find out for myself, so I don't want to hear about me being too old to ask this.

There's nothing wrong with this as long as she shows you PROPER respect.

Dating a single mom is difficult but it can be done so long as 2 thing happen. 1. You respect the fact that she is a single mom and that child is a part of her. 2. She respects the fact that you are making the SACRIFICE of dating her even with that child. Too many women today make the mistake of choosing the wrong man and getting pregnant by that man. And once the "relationship" inevitably ends, she think a guy just has to tolerate that. And all this is is further proof of what a bad decision maker and probably partner she is. So as long as she shows you PROPER RESPECT for the SACRIFICE you are making then it's OK. Because you will be making a lot of concessions to that child (such is the role of "father figure. Because you'll NEVER be the father. Even if she wants you to be). So you deserve respect for these sacrifices you will be making and she needs to treat you as such. You're NOT a 2nd choice! You're a correction of her f*** up. Always remember that. If she doesn't regard you in that way then dump her. And never make her feel bad about her mistake.

That's why I could never date a single mother. No offence to those who bravely and devoutly are single mothers.

You'll witness her nurturing and caring side, which can be incredibly attractive for some people. On the other hand, her child will always be her priority. Be prepared for schedules to change and for her to have less spare time.

Yeah i think that was always a problem. They could never get someone to watch the kid so many dates never happened and after a couple cancellations, I'm moving on to the next girl. We hadn't been on enough dates for her to usually feeling comfortable bringing the kid along. I always said they were welcome to but rarely did I ever go on a date that brought her kid with.

Been there once. Dating was difficult because as a mother her time was very limited outside of work, and we were very restricted in terms of what we could do at her place.
