You're only intimidating to folks who can't handle being around a smart guy.
Girls like a smart guy. They DON'T like guys who brag, though.
For example, one of the smartest guys I know used to get EVERY girl in town... for a week... and then things would fizzle out. 25 years later he has NO CLUE what the problem is. But being his friend for ~30 years I explained that he just focuses too much on showing off his so-called wisdom and the stuff he's collected over the years and it overwhelms the girls, who are just thinking that he's cute with the perfect floppy Elvis hair. And he's getting older now which means the pool of gals willing to put up with all his stories is shrinking. Oh well.
My best guess is that you must have used a translation program to express your thoughts. Difficult to understand but I get the basic meaning of your question.
Yes I do like educated men that think before they speak, that don't just talk about sex but have other interests in life besides that unimportant topic.
Nerdy people are slightly different because they only talk about one specific topic and not so much about others. I am not intimidated by knowledge or a person that is knowledgeable.
Physical attractiveness is not important to me because that is superficial. A physically nice person to look at can be just as obnoxious as one that does not have that physical attractiveness.
I apologize for my lack of clarity, I have a writing disability. I guess my question was meant to ask if you like educated men. But if you do specifically have that preference, what kind of person are you?
Do you consider yourself broadly knowledgeable? Do you just not really have a preference either way and care more about mutual interests?
I find I have a preference for people that can hold a conversation about my interests. But when it comes to that, most people don't seem interested so I just end up catering to their interests in conversation. But maybe that's how everyone lives. I don't know.
If a person does not meet that need for me I find myself attracted to more superficial things. Like fashion and being outgoing, someone who is better than me at something else I guess.
Thanks for the update and my apologies if my comment came across as impolite.
I prefer to communicate with people that are able to hold a conversation on a number of topics rather than just superficial chats that have no deep meaning.
I am not the type of person that will try to converse with someone just to keep the conversation flowing. I have a broad interest and finding someone to exchange ideas about those topics is what would motivate me to continue that conversation. I am also willing to listen and learn from those that have potentially interesting topics that I am not so competent with.
Ok so we kinda feel the same way then. That answers my question lol
very good hygiene is the bottom line... but he has to be a witty smartass to catch my interest :D
and as a nerd myself, I don't get intimidated at all :D
as long as he has enough distance to himself, a sense of humor, and enough patience, it can be fun :D
Learned... that's a new one. I think 99 % of the population looks for a partner that's fine and has hygiene. It's some of the basics that everyone looks for. Being a walking encyclopedia doesn't make you intimidating, unless you have an attitude know-it-all kind of attitude. Stay humble.
Calling yourself a learned man doesn't say much for your grasp of the English language, let alone anything else.
