At my age, I've never dated or even been *alone* with a man in a personal setting. I can't get past the head turns/flirting stages, always something seems to get in the way. Im trying my best to go out more, to get a job and a better social life, and im learning not to force interactions.

My acne is getting worse and i struggle putting cream on at night because it just sticks to the pillow. So that isn't helping 😩

Absolutely. Everyone’s path looks a little different, maybe you’ve prioritized other areas of life instead of relationships, I’m sure there are many things you can look back at in your life and feel proud of. And it’s great that you are taking an active approach to improve your social life. In regards to your acne, I’m probably not very knowledgeable since acne can have many causes, but you can always try to seek a dermatologists perspective.

Nope, a lot of what i am doing is to try and get a better life for myself and that includes finding a boyfriend, as i just want to be happy. I crush on guys a lot it just never seems to go anywhere

You’re actively working towards improving that which is great! You mentioned it stops at flirting, maybe ask for their number and take little steps from there.

It’s understandable, your mom might have different view and beliefs. I’m saying this because there are men that are too shy to ask. Probably most would never ask. There can be multiple reasons why someone might not make the first move. This adds another barrier to your situation, so you at the very least need to show your interest. Show hints or else they will pass you by as just a friend or acquaintance. You can also be direct and this will also provide clarity and save you time.

Yeah, the last guy never came back to event so didn't get the chance. This ones Abit more tricker cos he works at the college and his mum just died, i think im going to see how it plays out when he comes back, if there's still a vibe or he could be a totally different person now

You might have a hormone problem. See a dermatologist and ask them to do a blood panel but also check hormone levels. Sometimes they just want to do an operation and sell you cream and antibiotics, thats why I think you should do a hormone/endocrine evaluation.

Probably not. If you really wanted it, it would have happened already. Odds are you want it, but solidly on your terms. Partnerships do not work that way. And some people are old before they finally figure that out (assuming they do figure it out).

Guys can say that to. And you know what a females response would be? "Then you choose the one that do like you". And I'm not suggesting you do that. I'm simply say something along the lines of you have to decide how willing you are to be with a guy? What concessions are you willing to make?
One thing you need to always remember. Dating is not the end of your problems. With most people it's just the start of them. So always try to keep that in mind. I might be single but I try to remind myself that most women will make me very unhappy. So it's just as well.

Did u read my op, I've never been on a date. Never been asked out. Men generally dont come up to me, i get the odd head turns yes but nothing more than that and people tepl me i over react and theyre not interested. I've also sent guys messages and dont get a reply

Yeah, I heard it and don't believe it. Now if you had said " I've never been asked out by a guy I was interested in". Then it would be believable. To tell me no guy has ever show ANY interest in you whatsoever means you've been chained in your parents basement you entire life and that is highly unlikely.
