If you're suggesting that people of a particular race who've grown up largely in that same community will tend to grow to PREFER those of that same culture usually BECAUSE they've never gotten much exposure to those of other cultures. It's a safer bet in other words to be with those you know and not those you don't.
Men, being more courageous and adventurous, would tend to find exotic women and men from other cultures interesting and attractive. Women stick to what they feel safer with.
Even when we're exposed to different groups in urban areas, we're still not open to forming interracial relationships of any kind

Genetically you're closer to Eurasians than many other Africans. You're both human for a start and probably have the same goals, desires and hopes for the future but having a hang up about someones skin colour is a cultural insecurity you've been conditioned to adopt and it will hinder your growth as a person.

I worked with South African white people here and they're often of the same opinion because they're ignorant (they admit it openly and aren't negative about blacks from SA either just culturally different). It's an interesting dynamic that I think the experience they had here in Sweden (working with a black Liberian/American guy) has opened their eyes to the similarities in everyones lives.
I don't think you're harming others but you're denying yourself the opportunity to get to know them. Most white folks and black folks are kind and not AH. When I was in my 20s I visited Zimbabwe and was pleased by the reception. Most people are just going about their lives living from day to day and the kindness was clear. Sure they may have thought I was wealthy but I was a student so not all that well off.
