I not only believe it. I know it.

That's not to say that there aren't objectively pretty girls. It means, there are a ton of objectively pretty girls who I would never be interested in for anything significant. There are pretty girls who have horrible personalities. The ugly on the inside bleeds into how you see her from the outside.

Same in reverse. I've had this experience myself. It's happened a handfull of times, one stands out as being more extreme of a swing: I've for sure had the experience of not thinking much of some girl's looks... only to get to know her, and have her turn into the most beautiful girl (to me)

In fact, the one girl who I never was with, but would love a second chance at is objectively super-duper plain looking. Definitely not a head-turner. I even can see that she's plain. I can't argue. But to me she's so fucking beautiful. The beauty on the inside shines through and genuinely changes what I would see when I looked at her.

The most beautiful girl in the world (to me): is actually plain AF.

Beauty is a personal judgment; I'm not everyone's type, for instance, but I might be the most beautiful Woman that ever walked this planet for my Man. While for others I just don't meet THEIR beauty standards, and it's completely normal.

Other than that, a person's personality can influence their aesthetics so much, you will find that person attractive because you are attracted to their mindset and personality.
Beauty is a subjective concept that varies from person to person. It's important to be confident in yourself and to love yourself first and foremost. Respect yourself, nature and the people around you, that's true beauty, that's life. @SteveSmith1985 still wins though lol.

Yeah it's an individual and cultural metric that is used to basically control how people behave, Like for women it's "this look is what you should strive for", men have the aspirational pressure to dress smart, be ambitious, charming, emotionally expressive/available etc.

No. If that were true the world would not have supermodels. The world has NONDEBATEBLE beauty standards. Now that doesn't mean that subjective beauty doesn't exist in edition to that. I mean, I think most people would agree that Drew Barrymore does not fit conventional beauty standards. But I've had a crush on her since I was in school.
