What is your worst date idea?

I tend to go on the same short first date till I know the person better, however the worst date I've ever heard of was a relative of mine who planned a 3 hour date with some tinder/bumble f. It was a disaster mostly bc she's physically a "4"/"5" (and rates lower bc of her personality) and then makes herself impossible to relate to with overly-picky food choices and overly-prudish rules about touching or talking, etc.

I explained to her that a first date should be a 30-45min drinks/coffee and if there's chemistry do it again (drinks/lunch) till you're ready for a longer date (dinner/etc... a Friday/Saturday activity, etc.).

SHE planned for dinner at a place that's only accessible by taking a gondola (which is a 45min wait each way followed by a 45min ride in an intimate space alone with the guy). So the guy was psyched to get in there with her on the way over and she told him to keep his distance bc they don't know each other that well. She then ordered the most expensive thing on the menu and bugged the waiter to "special order"/customize it to suit her personal taste for cajun flavored everything. (EYEROLL... I'm annoyed about this move and I'm not even on the date...) The food takes FOREVER to arrive, during which time both she and the guy realize they have NOT ONE FREAKING THING IN COMMON and STILL HAVE to get through dinner AND the f-ing gondola back to the parking lot... She DOES NOT share food...

By the end of the date I'm pretty sure the guy wanted to crawl up his own a$$ and roll away into the dark, dark night... She comes home, kicks off her shoes and calls everyone she knows to whine that dating apps don't work.

(They DON'T... especially for folks who have no basic manners or concept of HOW to date...)

Not my idea. Guy picked me up. Open my door and all the good stuff. He was doing good. Then we pull up to a Denny's? Whatever, I like breakfast for dinner...

We go inside, we sit. The waiter comes. Guy says "well just have water." And gives the menus back. Proceeded to talk about his mom for 30 minutes then about his car for 30 minutes. When he asked if I wanted to go back to his for a drink I laughed and said I'd walk home.

Ok, so I bring her somewhere terrible, and the "what we do for the date": Staring contest.

There are some additional rules.

1. Silence. No talking no music no nothing.

2. The contests last 3 hours. The winner is whoever has more points when time runs out. Pauses between rounds is not allowed.

3. In addition to staring, you must also be licking your lips in a circle, running your tongue outside of your mouth following the shape of the lips. No more than one-seconds allowed at a time to re-moisten the tongue. (I use the word deliberately).

I think it would just be really intimate.

My worst date idea is that I agreed to meet up a drug addict alone after talking for 1 hours with him. I'm the type that can't say no so when he asked me I said yes, after I stressed like hell thinking I was crazy turn out god was on my side though cause the guy was not able to meet me because he did not have a car neither me xD

This happened to me a few years ago. A guy was visiting the country I live in a he said he would like to see how the supermarket looks like so we ended the night visiting a supermarket and him buying a bunch of candy. This was a guy in his 30s.

Haha no no, your post description just made me think of being near a construction site while dining. I had added that to my original post, then.

In some cities it’s of course more so done on the street and not near outside dining, but certain sounds can amplify and it can sometimes be annoying. So if I ever had a date close to a construction site/ construction work, it would really be a horrible date, if he and I hadn’t left already.

@Rosexøxø LOL Chainsaw date would be disappointing if not traumatic for sure. The noisy background and even dusty from construction sites would be off putting. However men in construction could be an unwelcome distraction if you're a guy looking to "test" a girls focus on the date if construction guys are around.
