so the guys i like usually like me back too, which is nice until i find out that most of them aren't looking for anything serious with me. so i never have anything real with the people i tend to find attractive or have a nice chat with.

You THINK you are on their level, but you are reaching too high. You can get sex, but not an exclusive long term relationship from them because of that. Many girls think they are higher quality/value than they actually are so they end up getting used by men that they don't qualify for.
