I do not consider myself an ugly guy. I am unfamiliar with the ugly subreddit. I am not at all surprised that it's sad... it's a subreddit for... what? People who think they're ugly? Yea, that would be depressing as shit. I do not need to click that link to know that.

If someone feels ugly, the last think in the world they need, is to talk to other people who also feel ugly... about how ugly they both are. That's exactly where incels come from. That's literally what incels are. It's sad as hell.

If I were ugly, I can tell you , that I sure as hell wouldn't be spending time on the ugly subreddit. It's like a feel-bad-party. It's like main-lining negativity. It's a community in reinforcing each others self-loathing.

i more refer to their attitude, like, if im ugly i can't do anything. i sort of feel for females but for men its probably not that important

No it appears to be important to men too. That really is what incels are. It wasn't a thing you used to see very often untill about a decade ago. That's when that shit exploded among young men.

It's just the men feeling that way often end up being toxic as hell, and lose my sympathy because they turn their hurt around and blame women for not finding them attractive. You see it on GAG all the time.

I agree with you about women though. It is sad. It doesn't tend to be directed into bitterness, resentment and anger. It's just sad. And I do tend to have sympathy for that (same for a guy... If he isn't an asshole because he thinks he's ugly)

I don't even fault anyone for not having self-esteem. I'm pretty sympathetic to that. Some people have really had some shit to reinforce to them that they shouldn't have any self esteem (usually unrelated to looks in the first place).

What I take issue with, is when that's turned outwardly as angry resentment (which, again, seems to be mostly guys... but there are definitely some girls who fall into this category. I can think of two I came across on here recently off-hand.).
