Do people even take dates seriously anymore?

Hmmm it goes two ways in my eyes.

On one hand, dating apps transformed the landscape which prompted and promoted the US concept of subsequent formal dates to get to know someone.

While on the other hand it didn't affect people like me who keeps dating outside of the dating apps framework by just meeting people, over and over, in any social gathering like work and things.

I wouldn't say these people are exactly two different population groups, but it's likely one group doesn't blend with the other, in general?

I haven't for years and years. But that's because I've yet to meet someone worth taking seriously that would accept my invitation to go out. That I know of. There has been a couple with potential but they had sights on another.

Depend on the person most see date as a ways to get sex and a minority see it for relationship and an even tinier percentage think about wedding (almost non existant).

Yes, when we look for serious there's nothing and people on date love to lie too to get what they want so it make everything harder than it need to be

I'm smart it's easy to spot a liar when just talking to them for a fews minutes on internet xD
I never actually went on a date just by talking to people on internet I spot the liar so

I mean spotting them on the internet is far more impressive tho cause there's no tone or expression to judge off of so you might be better in person lol

In person I caught them just by staring at them and I even spot who's gay and who's straight just by staring at them / their vibe xD
I never use my phone when outside I just look at people / look around me so with time I learnt how to spot the different kind of people. Just by first meeting of my sister boyfriend I caught they were bad and all her relationship ended very badly so

On internet it's a bit longer but usually depending on how well the person is able to lie / manipulate you can spot them either within minute or within one hours. If they're really good it can take a couple of days. But majority are just bad liars. So they're easy to spot.

Yes, after so much wondering I have caught on how to survive in the wilderness xD
I talk to everyone that want to talk to me so I have practices in how to caught them and I check the hours often so I know how many time it been since I talk to them.
