No, I don't think that is true at all. What makes you believe that? I can say I am not interested in dating anymore simply because I am married. If I were single, I would certainly be open to dating. I waited a couple of years (covid) before I started dating again.

Lucky me found the guy of my dreams. We dated for a good while. Then, he proposed to me and we just got married at the end of last year. I don't think people are closed off to the idea of dating.

I do think these days they are going about it all wrong. The whole internet dating has taken over and I believe it is one of the worst ways to "date" or meet people. You really cannot get a good sense of a person that you are communicating through messages online.

I think one of the best ways to find someone with potential to date is looking in your local area for activity groups or clubs to get involved with. Not only do you get to do something that you enjoy, you will meet people that share a similar interest, increasing the odds of finding someone that shares a passion or hobby.
