No, I don't think so.

There is no such thing as telepathy and it is not because you think of them that they will start thinking of you. If they do, then it is pure coincidence or because they saw, heard or even smelled something that would remind them of you.

Visual, aural and olfactive memories are very strong and can trigger a memory of something that one has experienced in the past. A good example would be that you associate a particular smell that you were familiar in your childhood and that you suddenly smell again after years to that childhood memory.

Well they can sometimes come to mind due to a certain situation n all but its not tht u think about them in a way tht u miss them... they can just be a memory popping up

Sure they may have a fleeting thought once in a blue moon. But to hope that someone is thinking of you because you think of them after years of no contact. Better chance of winning the lottery. Life isn't a hallmark movie were serendipity occurs.
