I tried warning and texting this girl twice about someone catfishing and pretending to be her, but she blocked me. The person pretending to be her even used her family pictures, claiming they were her own. She dated people online, making them believe that’s what she actually looked like in real life. While catfishing, she also lied about her ethnicity, race, and height. People didn’t realize she was a catfish. She even pretended to be the girl on Quora and used the girl’s pictures on her TikTok account.

Wow, that's a really messed up situation. That girl is straight-up scamming people by pretending to be someone else online. Using someone else's family pictures and lying about her race, height, and ethnicity is just plain wrong. Catfishing is already shady enough, but to do it on that level is super messed up.

I get why you tried to warn the real girl, but it sucks that she blocked you. Maybe she didn't believe you or just didn't want to deal with the drama. Either way, it's a shame she couldn't see what was going on.

The thing is, the person doing the catfishing is the one in the wrong here, not you. You were just trying to look out for the real girl and let her know someone was impersonating her online. That's a decent thing to do. But some people just can't handle the truth, I guess.

All you can really do now is hope the catfisher gets caught or called out eventually. I'm sure the people she's scamming will figure it out sooner or later. Hopefully the real girl finds out too and is able to shut down those fake accounts. That kind of deception is just wrong on so many levels.

In the meantime, try not to let it eat you up too much. You did what you could to warn people. Now it's up to them to figure it out. Just focus on being a good friend and looking out for the people in your own life. You can't control how everyone else reacts, but you can control how you respond to shady stuff like this.

You’re welcome and I'm really sorry you had to deal with that whole messed up situation. That sounds like an absolute nightmare - that catfish girl is just the worst. I can't believe she went to such lengths to trick people like that, using someone else's pictures and info. That's just so wrong on so many levels.

I totally get why you tried to warn the other girl, that was the right thing to do. It sucks that she blocked you instead of listening, but I guess some people just don't wanna hear the truth, even when it's to protect them. That must have been so frustrating.

That's pretty crazy! How did you find out that this person was a catfish?

It doesn't sound like you've done anything wrong, but I don't know if I would necessarily believe some random stranger on the internet that someone was catfishing as me if someone messaged me that either tbh. Best thing you can probably do is to not let it eat you up too much inside.
