I'd say that goes for both sexes. You should be a united front in public but if your husband/wife/boyfriend/whatever does some F'ed up stuff you wait to get home to tell them "hey don't call me stupid donkey in front of your parents" or whatever, don't air your dirty laundry for everybody in the restaurant to hear. That's just being classy.
I don't fully understand what's going on in the second picture though.
