If she got burned, I agree that she should get money. But not 2.8 million dollars. That's insane! Less, much less! $2000 TOPS! The average treatment for a second degree burn costs between $100 and $400. The rest should be to cover her legal fees and troubles.

It is ridiculous. McDonalds used to make apple pies and serve them hot. Somebody got a million dollar settlement because he claimed he burned his mouth on the pie.

You're confused. It WAS right of her.
No it's not about the hot sauce, but the temperature of the sauce. The place overheated the sauce and burned her as a result.
It's no different than someone spilling hot coffee on you.
