The only time a woman's money ever mattered to me was one girl who was insanely wealthy, but I had no idea about that, or how much, for a long time. I knew she was in Europe most of the year, but I eventually learned that she was from very "old money". And even though she never said anything, it was clear that he family would never accept her dating some lower-middle-class dude. She was expected to be with someone else from a "good family" (i. e., old money). So, I walked away from that situation before it got embarrassing.

As a rule, though, I don't care at all what kind of money a girl makes - that's not at all important to me. My girlfriend now actually makes pretty good money, but she could have made minimum wage and it wouldn't have mattered to me.

Of course if I choose for the person I care about I would rather they be well off.

Can you imagine the opposite?
"Oh hey baby! I checked that lottery ticket you asked me to check! Turns out you won 10 million $! I gave the ticket away though because I want you to be poor.".
Like, what?

And so a more fair question is to put how important it is in perspective. Funny or rich? Honestor rich? So on.

I likely won't even ask if they live at home with their parents or own half the city for the first six months of dating. That is how unimportant it is to me. And I still obviously would be happy for them if they won lots of money.
