Yeah. If I have a girlfriend, I want to see her a lot, ideally every day (or night).

Funny story: I met my wife through a pre-internet dating service. I sent a request to contact her. She said she almost rejected me as GU (geographically undesirable) because she lived in the Fairfax part of Los Angeles and I lived in Long Beach, which was about an hour away with traffic. But she changed her mind and we met at a restaurant that was near her.
I had an all expenses paid company car, so I didn't mind driving.
The rest is history.

It's healthy so long as you have leeway and reason. Don't look at everything as completely black and white. Sometimes you make a concession in something in a relationship and get so much more back somewhere else.
