Bringing flowers was rated the least exciting, even less than a guy not flirting. That proves genuine effort means nothing unless a guy is bold or exciting. Women say they want a nice guy, but this shows they really want thrill, not sincerity.

All the other gestures such as bringing flowers, opening up emotionally and flirting but not too aggressively are very suggestive of being open to a real relationship without being overbearing. Paying for a meal, especially if it’s the first date is very courteous and gentlemanly but I wouldn’t say that’s what excites me the most about someone.
