Most times yes but other times be may not be doing anything right but she has become so attached and lost her sense of self worth dealing with him that she doesn’t want to let go. I see women deal with the wrong men all the time, men where it’s like why on earth would she be with someone who treats her like that.

As I was saying, as @hollyk21 said. A guy might not necessarily be doing ANYTHING consciously to gain her attachment. There are a lot of women that takes a few things a guy says or does and create a storyline in her head that does not exist.
