Truck drivers, firefighters, and EMS personnel

I was a former EMT. It is not unusual to have a 24 on/48 off schedule. It is not unusual either to be held over or have to work overtime. Being gone at least 1/3 of the years sucks.

Truck drivers have it worse. If they are over-the-road drivers, you van expect them to be gone weeks out of a year, especially within their first year or so.

Yeah, once you get passed the surface level stuff, a lot of them do. Nerdy power bitches with a chip on their shoulder.

Law is a field that has a selection bias towards combative and unpleasant personalities. You have to be comfortable being embroiled in disagreements all day, so the kinds of people who succeed in law aren’t very nice.

Basically your options are that the person either likes fighting constantly or it just doesn’t impact the kind of day they’re having.

I agree. With the exception of OnlyFans and stripper or prostitute porn star etc. Every woman is a case by case basis but those professions are notorious for promiscuity (for both sexes) so be careful.

Even if you fully trust that woman with your whole heart and she would never cheat despite countless opportunities to do so. The scheduling as well as with military and police the trauma and PTSD isn’t something everyone can deal with

Worst professions - emergency services, hospital workers, basically anything that's on call 24/7 forget it

I had to laugh at the EMT and truck drivers responses. Try marrying someone in the military. They can be gone for 6 months straight and come home in a body bag. And the life insurance is SGLI. No private insurance company will touch military. Coverage starts $50K and can be maxed out at $500K. Which is better than when I was in but still not great for a 28 year old wife and 2 kids waiting at home. I put my ex wife through it for 15 years. I profoundly regret that.

Yeah unfortunately. The same goes for some other professions. Do all doctors and nurses chest? Obviously not. But you’re taking a gamble if you don’t know the person well. A gamble where the odds aren’t in your favor.

Let’s hypothetically say you found someone loyal to his or her core. Would never cheat on you in their wildest of dreams.

Doctors and nurses deal with a LOT of trauma. Emergency room doctors and nurses obviously. Labor and delivery nurses having to to deliver still born babies and seeing babies die despite their best efforts.

Pediatric doctors and nurses see child abuse victims. The media field is ROUGH…. And you have BETTER be a loving supportive partner
