In your opinion, what are the most attractive and least attractive professions?

I want someone who not often away or working or “on call”. So I’d find it unattractive if they are like a doctor, lawyer, cop, pilot, scientist, or in the military. I’m also not into musicians, most athletes (especially football/basketball players) nor gamers. I would prefer someone in a more creative field like a construction worker, mechanic, architectural drafter, school counselor, advertising exec, beatmaker, ghostwriter/poet, chef, art director, graphic designer, copywriter, movie critic, dj, carpenter, sculptor, film screenwriter, hair barber, English/art teacher, baseball scout, or a product designer/brand ambassador (for skateboards, surfboards, or snowboards). As long as the construction worker and chef doesn’t have to travel out of state as much, I’m all for it. Most of the men I dated were a mix of all the good and bad above which is how I know what I can/can’t tolerate. My boyfriend is a welder and I don't know much about that profession but it looks hard and exhausting. His body is often in pain from kneeling so much and he be sweating like crazy but he’s made a career out of it
Yeah welding is really hard on the body and taxes it pretty hard for later in life.
Yea he's late 20s and already hurting within his first 5 years. I dont see him doing it much longer but he claims he will
Nah he'll burn out soon. He might try and push his body more, but the longer he does it, the more toll it will have on his body
I also think the smartest thing to do is try to find an income online and just stay fit on your own time. Hard labor jobs tend to wear out the body way too quickly. You need to think about longevity. Just my opinion.
I agree. But he would hate working from home. Rn he's doin 10-12 hour shifts Mon-Thurs and he hates it. If he didn't get hurt, he wouldve been doing basketball professionally which is clearly his dream but im glad he at least doesn't have to travel like they do
He's an extremely physical dude. Nothing wrong with that. It's just they burn out more quickly in life.
Yea like he can't sit still for long. If he ever burns out, i just hope he doesn't take it out on me. But he seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders
Rooting for ya and hope ya have those kids soon like you want
Thank you :) The way he's talking, i’d already be pregnant if i gave it up right now 🤣🙈 but im not ready for sex with him yet
Wait... I didn't know you haven't even had sex with the dude 😮 Not even condoms?
Nevermind don't answer that... that shits personal
Lol when have i ever been “personal”. Im an open book. And i just had sex with my last boyfriend that i broke up with in March. Im not ready for sex with new bae yet lol. And i dont do condoms long as the boyfriend gets tested. 2 of the three i slept with did. Even this one got tested though he ain't gettin nun yet
That's fair. For me, I feel like sex is the thing that differentiates you from and friend and bonds you. I take it seriously, but I also don't really say "I'm not gonna have sex with this girl because I just ended things with my last partner recently"
I respect your choice though 😊
I normally won't have sex with someone in less than 6 months of being in a relationship with them. The first guy waited a year before he started pressuring me. The second guy wanted us to wait til marriage but we caved after 1 and a half year of waiting. The third guy waited 6 months then lost his virginity to me. This guy said he could wait up to a year if i wanted but i dont even think i want to wait 6 months this time around. I just dont think im ready to do it this early either though
Damn 6 months. That's a while to wait for sex in my opinion. I would honestly just assume they don't accept me if I had to wait that long 😂 Don't get me wrong. I did wait for that in the past. When I was 24, it took 6 months of dating my ex for her to her to have sex with me. We were in a relationship for 3 years after that. I'm not a guy to hit and run. But yeah... at this phase in my life, 6 months is a bit much for me. It just tells me she's not comfortable with me.
Waiting 6 months for sex doesn't mean no fun at all. 1st and 2nd month is still basic shit like making out, masturbating eachother, gettin my tits sucked on and so on. 3rd 4th and 5th month is oral and stuff. Mine is more about religious guilt and regrets rather than “comfortability”.
Ah gotcha. Yeah that would be fine then
Yea i can't go long without us cumming in some form or fashion haha
😂😂😂 Yeah we're humans. I'd be a happy camper if I was the boyfriend
he's def pitching a tent on the daily, with the exception of holy Sunday
Lawd you religious people 😂
I guess I'm going to hell
😂😂😂
Thanks for mho
Respect to him for working shifts that long. As someone who's worked long days, I can definitely say that it boosts your confidence to look back on just because you know you can push yourself to do more than 80% of the population is willing to.
@MicahRaine yea i can see he's worn out from it, but i will give him the relaxing spa treatment anytime he gets home
That means a lot to him :)
Y'all are both lucky
Most attractive: Guys who work with their hands, guys who build startups/entrepreneurs, or guys who do diagnostics or analytical jobs, problem solvers. Jobs that require vision, innovation and dedication. My reason is that I like to discuss things and toss problems back and forth. It's fun to tease out problems together and I think it's a bonding thing.
Least attractive: Desk jobs, fast food workers, service station attendants, truckers, etc. Basically anything mundane. It's not that I don't appreciate those who do those jobs; I just don't find those professions attractive.
I had to like this because I'm trying to start my own content marketing agency 😂 It's been a slow process due to some serious procrastination
And I agree with everything you've said.
@Paul09 I only meant I don't find the profession attractive. Like I said, I have great appreciation for those who make the sacrifices to do those jobs. Our economy would be brought to a screeching halt if all the truckers went on strike! Are you one of those guys who does that ice road trucking? That's intense!
@HawkPerception That's awesome! That's a tricky field since it's so saturated, it would be challenging for sure.
I hear that. Everyone procrastinates with something; sometimes it's just a matter of reigniting the inspiration or getting more people on board.
@Paul09 No hate man. We need people working jobs like that for society to function. It's honest work and it is taxing to be on the road for long hours. You need a lot of mental fortitude.
But if I'm being blunt, I would not say that it requires a lot thought, other than you need to be mentally alert and aware of your surroundings. I think some people are just more attracted to people that have to think creatively or innovatively on the regular.
And it's not implying there's a lack of depth to you either. You could be extremely philosophical, introspective, and in your own mind a lot of the time. It's just the job itself that's not the most enticing. Don't take it as a shot at you.
@TheRealPepperPotts Yeah and with the progression of AI, I feel like everyone will be doing this kind of stuff easily on their own and I'll be out of a job in 10 years time or less 😂 But it is what it is.

I would say innovative, entrepreneurs, inventors, nature/ wildlife: preserve, rescuer, rehabilitation- related, and documenters.
Creative writers and singers/musicians. Scientists. Theoretical scientists. Military members. Police force. Navy members. Firefighters. Some mechanics. Race car drivers. Motocross drivers. Bmx drivers. Pilots. Air traffic controllers. Tower personnel. Some lawyers. Construction workers. Barbers. Some security workers. Any type of security force dog trainer- like airport/ other travel ways. Some waste management workers. Very few influencers. Some real estate agents. Medical responders. Search and rescue responders. Coast guard members. Few djs.
Few factory workers.
I feel like this is a general list. I’m not too judgmental impo. It usually depends on their character and personality. Some people DONT match their profession at all. I’ve met very rude people from ALL backgrounds. Well- various. Some are still getting things started and they may be temporarily in some low type of job. But have a heart and character of gold. My current partner isn’t in any of these. He’s a hard worker but his job I had no idea about and it’s temporary. His desired career is also not on my list. He’s the exception for both of those. He’s my sweet exception 😁, and sweet obsession.
Love your answer
Most unattractive: Social worker, law enforcement, politician or political operative, activist, federal bureaucrat, military
Most attractive: Scientist, doctor, nurse, accountant, non-activist attorney, mathematician, linguist, intelligence analyst, diplomat
@elaphe everyone's entitled to their opinion and they likely have their own reasons for not liking them
Least attractive: car salesman.
Most attractive: stay at home mom.
I have been thinking about this lately. More in terms of what profession make the best wife? Not exactly the question but related.
It is absolutely true that your job changes you. So it makes sense that some professions will create more suitable wife material whereas others will imbue unsuitable characteristics.
So I would run from any profession that has an element of bargaining in it. You'll probably find your marriage is one long protracted negotiation. If I give you sex what do I get - that sort of stuff.
As for professions good for wifey material you might think nurses. Nup. Tried it. They have long since had genuine caring knocked out of them and instead demand to be cared for more then most girls.
I think waitresses are a better bet. Sure some of them are surly and probably spit in your food. But some do enjoy the dopamine hits of pleasing people and it is a caring industry. Some are quite proud they have a following and can bring clientele with them when they shift to a different cafe. I think that there is good wife training there.
100% agreed
I work in the oil field I work somewhere between 14 to 16 hour days but I am on for two weeks and off for two weeks I’m 19 and I drive truck hauling oil and rig parts I drive on some of the most dangerous roads i have a girl friend who works 5 days a week as CNA she works anywhere from 10-12 hour days even when I am off I find her attractive coming in in her scrubs we live in an RV that we renovated out into a home we are currently building our dream home right now so any money we make goes towards it I know she misses me when I am gone but I’m always there when she needs me
Brother you are literally living my dream many years before my age. I respect your hustle like ya don't know.
I operate a lawn care business and it's amazing how many dates i went on and discovered they all thought I had all these people working for me and I just sat in the truck and sipped lemonade all day. Then they were put off when they realized I did all the work and was a one man show🙄 Gold diggers
I feel ya man. I respect your hustle. Some people prefer to do all the work themselves (freelance entrepreneurs) and don't feel as comfortable outsourcing the work or hiring employees.
I will say there's more potential in money if you start outsourcing work or hiring employees, but it's whatever your comfort zone is.
To judge someone based on the fact they don't have employees is absolutely ridiculous and yes... there are a lot of shallow gold digging women out there.
Being a physician used to be an attractive profession but not any more. First, you give up 13 years of your life (after high school) sinking in debt and taking abuse from so-called professors. You have a very compromised family life. There's no compensation for being on call. Most are working for a health care system employer who generally knows little about taking care of people. They expect you to follow their protocol rather than thinking through what you know to be true. They force you to be looking at your laptop entering the data they think is meaningful (it's not). You're vulnerable for a career ruining lawsuit if you slip.
If you wish to make a real difference in medicine work at a mission field hospital where patients are grateful like you would not believe and you answer only to God.
Did you read the question?
I'm here to give you the lowdown on which professions really revs my engine and which one leave me feelin' flat as a pancake, alrighty?
First off, let's talk about the cream of the crop – librarians. Smart cookies sittin' behind counters filled with books, glasses precariously perched on their noses. They might look innocent, but just imagine them on their knees in the self-help section, helping themselves to a big, tasty man rod.
Alright, now onto the real damp squib of society, the profession that couldn't turn me on if it tried -- your mother. Yes, motherhood is a profession, guys. And your mom is so dumb, it's obvious you were homeschooled. I'd be afraid I'd accidentally procreate with her. No thanks, give me a mother like the one @basement-bum has. He lives in her basement, ahem, slave dungeon and they have over 150 views on Pornhub. Peace out!
Its pretty simple on MOST attractive , the ones who make the most money ( legally ) who gives a remote flying Fck about what it is , as long as its sustainable.
The least attractive , are the exact opposite.
You know , it pisses me off , people talk about " calling " , thats just utter utter bullshit , working is about making as much money as passible , you can be concerned about " calling " later , you are there to make as much money as you can , and enhance it making solid investments , be logical with money..
At the very least buy the USA index and keep buying , you need to make money , not follow " callings " , thats just bullshit , do that in your spare time.
Keywords.. Legal / Investment / non deprecating assets / build net worth / Invest / freedom is all you can buy.
Most attractive : architect, chef, entrepreneur , banking/finance , engenierr, fire fighter , teacher ,
Least attractive : club promoter , personal trainer
Just curious... I'm not a personal trainer or anything, but why are they unattractive? 😂
From my own personal experience and what I’ve also seen , a lot of male PT’s tend to flirt with their clients/ don’t keep things profesional, so I wouldn’t want to date a man who’s behaving like that at work
That makes sense. I do believe that certain careers tend to reflect particular personality types
Most attractive: doctors, lawyers, firefighters
Least attractive: garbage collectors, morticians
People who work in waste management make good money, though. They can make up between 37k to 65k a year.
Yeah morticians make a lot of money too but it still doesn't make it any more attractive.
@Booklover_90 it's not always about the money. OnlyFans girls can make more than doctors, lawyers, or anyone that has went through tertiary education
Okay so do you mean unattractive as in you wouldn’t do it? Is that the objective of the question? I just want to understand.
@Booklover_90 I'm not trying to insult, but I don't believe I can phrase my question more simply. I'm asking which professions are attractive and unattractive TO YOU. It's subjective to everyone and usually, most people have at least SLIGHT preferences for certain professions.
Okay. Got it. That’s all I wanted to know. Thanks. 😊
@Booklover_90 😊👍🏼🌅
Least atractive
Most atractive
Most attractive: blue collar jobs
Least attractive: white collar jobs
Teaches for sure! Nothing against teachers though it’s just one of my child hood friends became a teacher and I’ve noticed more and more that when she talks to us she she talks in a demeaning way. And a few of our other friends have noticed it too. I don’t think she does it on purpose though. And I totally understand it as we’ll especially because she’s working with the trouble makers.
As long as a person is hardworking and is making an honest living, I don’t care what they do. I don’t classify professions as attractive or unattractive.
I agree 💯👍🏻
For me it doesn't matter as I always judge a person by whom they are (character) not what job they do.
So if they're an OnlyFans model or pornstar and they have a great character, you're good with it? What about a funeral director?
Well, I'd need to question their morality as well as their character but we don't have much freedom in life and free choice is as much freedom as we have. People do things for a reason and I will not judge them for what they do. Maybe a girl has been sexually abused as a child and she knows non better then getting into a particular way of life. Then again you have most politicians who sell themselves to the highest bidder. You know? Pharmaceutical companies and lobby groups, but they wear suits so that's okay.
I get ya. There's good and bad people in every field. Some corruptible and some incorruptible. But I think that if a girl has slept with 100 guys in a year, that's definitely less enticing than someone who is trying to live an honest and conservative lifestyle like an interior designer, no?
Or a garbage collector let's say? I still say we shouldn't judge and we don't know what she has gone through. Some men sleep with many women but I guess it's okay for men. I tend to go by the rule, give a person authority and they will reveal their true self.
The garbage collector could be a good person... just an honest worker. That's why I didn't use it as an example. I just feel like they wouldn't like their own life.
'intellectual' discrimination will always exist especially in countries who most preach 'democracy'. This will force many people to do jobs they don't like and they will be judged by it by many.
I never implied any occupation was any less intelligent than another, although you have to admit, there is a definite correlation.
I'm not accusing you.. it's a hard to understand in which manor I'm speaking through text but in reply to your suggestion I would say it's the ability to repeat what you are taught and in many cases have the money to buy this pass which would give you more possibilities to get into a 'good' job. Could be classed as legalised racketeering in circumstances where you pay.
Ones that demand you to work on the 7th day of the week known as Saturday. Also, Jobs that make you forget about people... its another reason why I've always been single, They were like "Sean where did she go?" and I was like... "She left?" poof! It makes me hate jobs and hate working for people. Its the Sabbath and I'm glad I can do nothing but read the bible or something related.
Attractive: Anything to do with teaching fitness in any form, academics, writer of any form or someone that is a creative.
Unattractive: builders, policemen, psychiatrists or doctors.
Most attractive construction workers I see how hard they work daily in the weather.
Least attractive the cosmetic counter girls. Full of lip sore and bad attitudes
I meant of the opposite sex my bad 😂
I whole heartedly agree with what this person wrote - the very least attractive job a woman could do - is be on only fans or a porn star. The most attractive job a woman could be in ,( well this is just me ) but it would be either a cook or a librarian
A man in a suit ( business profession, firefighter, officers, construction workers, entrepreneur's, and DJ'S). Veterans if he'll fight for his country he'll probably fight for me too and Playa's (in sports).

Least being in Hollywood as anything.
I like being surprised by what someone does if they don’t seem that type visually. I’m not really bothered what someone does. I just care that they can conversation and make me laugh.
Petroleum Geosciences Professionals, Petroleum Engineering Professionals are most attractive also.
I’m just curious. I don't know if there’s too many ladies in those fields. Are you gay? Like this is the only answer that caught my attention cause of the level of effort needed to study those professions if so, which assume, but then I thought huh, I think the demographic for those are usually to mostly male.
There are so many attractive and sexy professionals females are in those fields. I m working already. I am not gay and available for your comfort if required being a professional Geoscientist. 😆
