If so, why?
Depends very much on how/why she gave me the ick. A girl I'm into just called me "Bro". That gave me the ick... hard. So I asked that she never again call me "Bro"... she readily agreed; and was the one to literally use "ick" when I brought it up. I am still talking to her. Just as interested as if that awful experience had never even happened. I totally totally got over it. And it was like...20 minutes ago.
It depends. There are "icks" that are dealbreakers for sure. But they'd have to be pretty... icky.
That's not an ick. You're just insecure. 💀
Yikes. That means she sees you as a friend, and ONLY a friend
Yes I have before , because even though I wasn’t attracted to her , I still enjoyed chatting with her as a friend , the only reason I would stop talking to her is if she didn’t take no for an answer , I use to know this girl I went to school with and she reminded me of one of the Campbell soup kids , she had the biggest crush on me and I told her I am not interested in her and I was polite about it and told her I still like being her friend, well she didn’t take no for answer and kept asking me out , so I told her to stop calling me because I was pissed that she didn’t take no for an answer , so that’s the only time i would get an ok from a girl , is if she doesn’t know what No means lol
I think they do it because of physical attraction. Men are more forgiving of mental flaws if they are attracted to the person. For example there is a guy who talks to me once a week without fail and he tells me I'm emo and teases me a lot. Yet has told me me if we lived closer he would date me and he enjoys talking to me. When we talk it's usually all day, until we go to sleep but I know we would never date because he isn't that into me, he just likes that I can give him a boner.
That sounds slightly disappointing. What kind of distance are you dealing with?
@JordansGate He lives in California and I live in Ontario lol
@PeachyPie93 That's a gap!
Would you consider dating this guy or do you think he's more after the physical attraction, as you mention?
Been in a similar situation, and I didn't quite enjoy it myself lol
@JordansGate I would defo date because I like him but I honestly doubt he would like me enough for it to last very long. Yeah, it's not the best feeling lol but I don't mind if it never goes anywhere since I enjoy what it is and he makes me feel comfortable. He has really good emotional intelligence you can tell he knows how to make girls feel secure.
@PeachyPie93 That makes me happy for you. It sounds like you have a grand connection with him, and the comfort that comes with it is often more important than any defined status. Hopefully he doesn't end up breaking your heart one way or another and y'all can stay in touch for a long while. Thank you for your response! 🫶🏼
@JordansGate Thanks 🫶
Boys do it all the time, as long as they get something out of it.

Depends how icky it is. 🤔
No, LOL. I actively manage my time and the people I allow around me. I've booted the sister of a friend in plain clear language because she's MAGA. I told her she's useless and a conversation with her adds no value to my life. I also told her brother to keep her away from me if we bump into each other in public. LOL, he does.
No. For obvious reasons. There are 4 billion women on the planet. Why would I continue to try to engage one that gave me the ick? Now if she engaged me is another matter. I'm not going to seek her out. But I'm not going to tell her to go away if she seeks me out. Not without good reason. So I guess you could say even though she gave me the "ick" she does have the opportunity to redeem herself, if she tries.
Yes, maybe.
Like if I thought a girl was really physically attractive, but she gave me the ick emotionally, I might keep talking to her because I wanted to plow her.
That's just one example. I'm sure there are others.
@notlongkindagirthy that makes sense… he says he still thinks I’m hot af but I think I got a bit clingy for awhile.. but he still talks to me all the time 🤦🏻♀️
Is this the same guy who didn't message you for a while because his phone was supposedly messed up?
@notlongkindagirthy yes but he took a screenshot so it seems like it would be pretty hard to make that up!
I chatted you.
I probably would as sometimes first impressions are inaccurate, but it would largely depend on what was ick about her. If she was chewing tobacco and spitting a lot, that would probably be too much of an ick for me.
Talking? No I don’t think so
I’ve had the case where I slept with a girl and found out right after she was a communist which is a major ick
But I figured I’m already here so I went in for seconds
But afterwards I didn’t pursue anything more with her
I hate this.
I have lived my ENTIRE life without people saying "ick" and now in the last few years everyone cannot stop saying "ick", that gives me the "ick", he/she is so "ick".
Yeah it makes you wanna knock them out. Modernity is disgusting.
have had that scenario and at times, could only get a few words out. the vibe is all messed up. nope. the "ick" is some weird emotional energy and I don't do that. I want peace. Recommend icks go to therapy of which there are various methods to repari the emotional damage.
No, girls, I talked to during the talking stages of potentially, met at speed dating events, and met on dating apps or even in person and found out their true character, whether she was a party girl, she was rude or she was talking to 10+ other guys, I eventually ended things because if she isn't serious or everything revolves around her, yea it does give me the ick. Some guys will do anything for a pretty face but a guy or man needs to have self-restraint.
Probably but not eternally. I'd try to get her to unik herself surreptitiously because I am a masochist but kind to others and want to like them.
She could be icky from outside, but once you get to know her she could be the Nicest/Best person/Friend...🤷♂️
I'd find ways to avoid her for sure. If a guy is still talking to you he clearly finds you tolerable. If he goes out of his way to talk to you he must like you.
Would u Keep talking to a guy who gave you the %ick. Lol see how that looks in reverse
@thewombraider I might! It’s not so cut and dry!
I might. She might have made a really dumb statement. I might explore it to see if it is what she believes.
It would very hard for a girl to do that. So no but not likely to happen anyway.
I don't remember having any interest surviving the ick moment
Takes so much to get that much of an ick. Mostly just be a meme god and sell your soul to tiktok.
Are you shitty on meme gods? That's a prestigious title lol
The biggest block for me to feel sexually romantic with a female, would be if her body skin was sticky/sweaty due to the lack of getting a good and thorough shower.
(I'd really like to NOT use terms out of the "urban dictionary")
Yea but I guess it surely all depends on what the ick is
Not these days. I've made that mistake in the past.
I would give her a chance to avoid a second ick. Any good person can err once.
No, when a girl starts acting to me like that, I usually walk away never talk to her again.
Is the ick because she is crazy? Is she also hot? Then I might
i'm not sure i understood a single word she spoke. like she spoke English but it didn't come close to making sense.
Never met one who gave me an "ick."
As @Jamie05rhs mentioned, men don’t experience “the ick.” That’s the way the female brain works.
If she is hot, yes I would.
At least we can be friends.
Maybe she'll change her mind later :P
I personally can't. My number 1 ick is if it smells
In many work situations, you have no choice and you can't like everyone.
Depends on what the ick is. Is it an STD or a feeling?
@bdrick the ick is a feeling not an STD
The “ick”, isn’t that something that penicillin can take care of huh? Or will they need vacation’s?
Yeah. I'll talk to anyone. Had a 3 hour convo with my paralysis demon. She wasn't so bad. Just doing her job. Just like me she hated her fucking job.
Guys don't get "the ick.". That's a female thing.
Yep, exactly. I'm far passed the age for this silly American Gen Z/Gen Alpha slang but I've never even met Gen Z/Gen Alpha guys that use that terminology. It's a girl thing. "Passing the vibe check" is mostly used by girls too.
@Wraith_Cemetery Exactly. 👍
No ...
Forgive me for asking you this question, but what is an ick?
Someone of them might tick bucket list stuff x
Maybe as just a friend
New term for ne. Probably not
One ick is one too many
I assumed the ick was an STD.
Possibly could be she socially awkward.
never got the ick
Yeah, if they were hot.
right would be bang her!!!
why is the smile girl on the cover of ur question
@chocolatetwopointo I don't know they changed it 😭
Cuz hot vs ick
Why? To be polite.
wdym by ick?
@mrzameer just added the definition from urban dictionary in the update!
That’s strange I just clicked it and it worked for me! If not go to urban dictionary. com and type ick in the search box.
