Would you ever continue a conversation after things got awkward just as a coverup before ghosting a girl?

I’d been talking to this guy every day for a few months and said something slightly awkward but we didn’t fight or anything.

The next day he sent me videos of these places he was looking to rent and I responded slightly later than usual because I was tired and fell asleep early.

Then he texted back like a day later saying “omg hi sorry” and then just replying to me.

Then I responded and it’s been a week now since he was on the messenger app but I see him on my socials.

Is he really ghosting me? I’m confused because why send videos and ask for my opinion about something like that and then just drop off the face of the earth? Also I said all positive things. Is there a chance he just forgot?

@shiprex just seems weird to send me something that personal and videos etc. to then just drop it at that, like I’d be less surprised if it were small talk?

It's not NORMAL for sure but perhaps he's disappointed in the reaction you had and that now he's making moves to do something with his life he's dealing with the issues about moving

It may be that he's now working on FINDING one of those places and hasn't forgotten you so don't despair. But he may also have been one of those guys with lots of "options".

I'm sorry you feel this way. Some people are flakey and when communication is digital like it is today, it's very easy to "ignore" and "get back to later" others who are perhaps more invested in communication than they are. It's a them issue they haven't matured enough to realise others deserve the respect or closure

It could be true but there are always app issues these days and if you've no data or some setting gets set wrongly then it could be a genuine issue. However, the skeptics will tell you to turn and run so it's on you to make a choice.

@shiprex Yeah I decided to give the benefit of the doubt without giving onto the fact that I was wondering where he’d gone. I just said “oh no! Hi! What have you been up to?”

That's a good response, not gushing over or being rough on him BUT don't keep in mind that there are flakey people out there who want to "keep their options open" and he still has to demonstrate he's NOT "that guy".

You didn't tell him that you were tired when you didn't reply. It probably thought you weren't interested in the convo. He did text you after that, but I think your messages were a little dry. So he isn't talking to you anymore cause he thinks you don't want to. Not his fault

Well then you shouldn't even be worried about this because he doesn't matter. He's not even in your real life yet, he's just a bunch of bullshit. Go find a guy in real life, one that can drive over and see you whenever you want. You're not ugly, it shouldn't be hard.
