Thank goodness I don't date but if I was forced to date and have the option to bring a person home or go to that other person, then I would obviously go to my house where I feel safe and where I know every corner, every object and where I could find my way in total darkness if need be.

The opponent would be in a handicap situation since that person does not know my place inside out. I know where I have my knives, where I have anything that could be used as a weapon if things don't go as planned.
