Oh for sure it’s intimidating especially if you don’t know the person now it depends every woman is different so is all men. The number one thing is be respectful and take no for a answer. Unless someone’s showing equal effort more times then not they’re just not that interested. In some cases someone may be shy or nervous but they will still want a way to contact you if they want to.

The “oh I don’t know” or “maybe idk” “I have a boyfriend” “I’m sorry no” anything along those lines just leave it. You made your move.

I don’t think ‘intimidated’ is the word for it. More like put on the spot to say yes or no from a stranger. Even if the approach is welcomed, it is still an awkward moment for the one approached.
