Why do some women think men are scared to approach them and too afraid to ask them out?

I've seen very average women making these type of statements and always wondered what's so 'scary' about them LMAO.

Men do get scared and I think it’s pretty normal. I think a lot of those type of women never want to approach a man. Then get angry when the wrong kind of men are approaching them.

Look…. Men who have a lot of options don’t really need to walk up to random girls. They usually know what they want and who they want.

I don’t really trust people I don’t know though and cold approaching isn’t really my style and if I was a woman I don’t know if I would want tons of dudes I don’t know approaching me either.

A “very average” woman might be beautiful to a man. Just because you see them as “very average” doesn’t mean a man would. Anyway, to answer your question. Men aren’t robots. They have feelings and emotions, too. Also, we live in an age in which a woman will accuse a man of sexual harassment if he looks at her a certain way. Therefore, they don’t even bother.

If you are shy, doesn't matter what gender, you'll feel anxious saying or asking something that you don't normally do. Maybe for them it's "scary".
For everyone else, if they don't approach someone, it means that they're just not interested.

I not sure us guys are scared but we are always worried getting rejected and maybe are self esteem and confidence taking a hit and not try asking a girl out or might be hesitant to do so. Also guys can be shy and might feel if they try to pick up a girl they feel like a creep.

Scared is the wrong word. More like too courteous.  We live in a post-MeToo society and a loud (minority?) of women consider it offensive. Also some places/groups simply have a policy against it.
