Why are guys scared to approach girls?

I get that y'all are scared of rejection but come on, if a girl is being obvious to go talk to her... why don't they? Then again, I probably wouldn't go up to a guy. Hm, we're both fucked LOL. The only time guys get confidence is when they're drunk `_`

Well because if they really like that person they have the thought in their head about rejection and rejection crushes confidence and breaks hearts. If you make it obvious about your attraction then the guy is just overly shy. And when your drunk you have confidence... But not for relationships you just wanna hook up really.

Most likely because the fear of rejection is greater than the possible outcome for some men. They may really like a girl but are so scared of being rejected they can't get past it and ask her out.

But I would also say it could be past experiences that could just stop them from asking. Hearing "I have a boyfriend" and "I'll let you know" gets old after a while

Lots are scared of rejection. Some are even more terrified of success.

In cases like those, you might find yourself having to approach guys if you want to see it go anywhere. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I am not afraid of a woman that is approachable and seems interested. I have been known to talk myself out of approaching a woman that I convince myself she has to be spoken for because she is so attractive.
I am used to rejection.

Guys are simply afraid of rejection, they are shy and lack confidence because lots of girls tend to be very cruel, arrogant and they also like to mock them or laugh at them when they approach or try to talk to them.
