Nah. It’s a strong conservative position, but far from radical. Anthropological evidence actually supports that view.
This is exactly why our system is a patriarchy that no prominent political party has any desire to “smash”. Almost universally in western societies, the sole expectation of men is to produce and provide; primarily for the benefit of women and their children. This is why it’s illegal in most states for a man to conduct a DNA test on a child without the knowledge and consent of the mother. Most states also have “dad by default” laws. Even when he can prove he’s not the biological father, a woman can still hold responsible any man she chooses to support her children. As long as she can show that he ever supported them to any extent. Additionally, as marriage rates are declining, more states are enforcing common law marriage again. This way men who never married or had kids of their own can still be held responsible for alimony and child support.
If you think that Pat Robertson was a fanatic, then you must believe that the entire system is radical and recognize that it is endorsed by both major political parties and nearly every voting adult.
There has never been a bill introduced to challenge any of it, despite popular rhetoric.
