One guy asked a question here, where he hated on older guys who want to get with younger girls.

He asked girls if they hate older men, and most girls said they prefer them over younger because they are mature.

The guy got angry and threw a tantrum, saying they are all wrong. He thinks all sex with young girls is rape. And only a boy can consent to sex with an older woman. He eventually blocked me because I told him he is biased and a petty loser.

Wow! I’d say he is completely off his rocker. While ideas and opinions are a bit unique here on this site, I would say your argument in the real world is absolutely more on than most people probably realize. It’s true that younger women want to be in general with older men. Not due to some twisted fantasy either. Women in their 20s and 30s typically end up with men in their 40s and 50s because those men were taught better in life how to have respect for a woman and how to be responsible about things in life such as finances, and even having children. Men who were raised correctly, typically want to love and commit too. Now of course I speak this in general. There certainly are younger men who are some amazing and well principled men. And there are certainly some older men who are schmucks too.

Many men become insecure and frustrated when they see their "pool of potential women" being taken by someone outside the group. Asian men may feel upset about many pretty Asian girls dating white guys, in the same way that white guys may feel upset when "their girls" date black guys, and black guys get upset when "their girls" date white guys, and black girls getting upset with white girls who date "their guys."

We want to think we know the game, and the chances we have at winning it (finding a forever partner), but when it seems like an outside player (or players) starts shifting the odds against us it's understandable to become upset.

Why is ageism still tolerated?

When someone says something racist/sexist/homophobic, there is an uproar, everyone jumps on them, calls them intolerant, a bigot etc. But online forums are full of extremely ageist comments and no one cares.
