I think a lot of people will say that if you are, it isn't really love. I disagree. I think it is possible and it doesn't mean we don't love either one of them. BUT, acting on those feelings will most likely cause a whole lot of. harm. That's where commitment comes in. We choose someone we are in love with and we COMMIT to that person. That means you take yourself out of any situation that will jeopardize that relationship and you put any feelings you develop for another person aside. If that is hard to do, then I think we probably need to get busy fixing whatever is causing us to look away from the relationship we are already committed to. The grass is rarely really greener once you get to the other side of the fence. And the person you are already with deserves your loyalty.

Goes to show how differently we perceive love emotions


If I have to give a pragmatic take I would say it’s possible to be attracted to multiple people even love them within a certain context
But not possible to be in total devout love with more than one person


If you need more than one person it means different people so different things for you and fill different needs
And you need both to be fulfilled
But being in love is being fulfilled
So to be in love you need one person that ticks all the boxes YOU care about


That’s not to say a perfect person as it doesn’t exist.
But one who’s subjectively perfect for you

I'm currently in that situation as I have a wife and a boyfriend. Yes I love and cherish both of them equally, but for different reasons. I don't think it's incredibly common, but possibly becoming more accepted in society.
