How long does it take you to decide whether you like or dislike a person from the moment you meet them?

Body language, style, smell, many tells can paint a picture as someone walks up to you before they even speak


That being said I also know I can be wrong so I do give people a chance before deciding once and for all if I like them or not

Most the time I can tell when I meet someone if I really like them or not. However my opinion can charge for better or for worse as time goes on. I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt but my first impression is usually correct.

When my first impression is “wrong” most the time. People can change. People can change for the better or worse. Some people I have mixed emotions on as well.

Depends why I'm meeting them. If it's for "relationship material" I know in about five min max whether I'd allow the guy to get further into my circle. If it's for work or friendship I take more time to assess.

and this feeling has never been wrong before, I... however, do not act on "gut feeling" I first make sure to "confirm" such feelings, and then they do happen to be accurate, lol

much similar with all of the good and great people I met and kind of, right away... I felt " this is going to be great..."

but generally speaking, I do not decide myself whether or not I like or dislike someone... it will be the person itself who will do or not do something I like or dislike about them... and that can take either little or a longer time, depends on many different factors as well, lol

The common case is that I'm neutral, no affinity, no disgust. Daily life.

Generally am able to get a feeling very quickly, however there have been times which took a bit of time to figure out. Have also been cases after being around them for awhile realizing my first impression was wrong.

As far as relationships go, if she has tattoos or nose rings, it is an instant no from me. If she looks decent I may actually take the time to get to know her and then decide.

I try not to be superficial. As is said, first impressions matter. I judge if I like someone based on their character.

Guilty. A lot of women (and guys) don't get why I do it. It's definitely way outside the norm. But it keeps me from going crazy. I'm one of those people everyone comes to. For help, financial advice, information, technology, analysis, careers, relationships, intervention in life's problems, money, etc. In the military when I was active, in business, in personal relationships, etc. As a friend, mentor, boss, or romantic partner. I get hit on by a LOT of women. I don't have infinite time (or patience). I do have my own life. If I don't put barriers in place and impose boundaries it can get out of control. Outside of my ex wife and kids, there may be 10 people on this planet who have my phone number or email. There are people I've known for 30 years who only recently got my phone number, LOL. And surprisingly, even though a lot of people don't understand it, they put up with it. They engage on my terms because I won't bend on my standards. Why? I don't know. One married woman has been chasing me for about 7 years. I know it seems borderline crazy. But it keeps me from going full blown crazy. I can't (won't) deal with 200 "friends" demanding my time or blowing up my phone.
