I view emotional intelligence as the capacity to experience & identify emotions from within and from the people around.

Girls would be more experienced at that when they are raised in environments valuing emotion sharing which gives them practice. While boys would be less experienced at that when their environment taught them Stoicism, meaning that emotions are gay or something, which gives them ummm... Depression.

If what you said was true, then there would be no man in politics, no man in advertisement either. Fathers would be a sort of human bots. There would also be a permanent misunderstanding for so many couples.

So, to me, you either come from a different solar system or you severely overlooked the implications of anything emotion.

It's about being able to recognize your own strengths and weaknesses. Being able to read strengths and weaknesses in other people. Having empathy. Having sympathy. Having patience. Choosing to use those tools. Until it's time to behave differently. And recognizing that tipping point.

I've asked that question because everybody has a different interpretation which means it's not a real thing. Women made it up because they need to be aware of other people's emotions because they're the weaker gender physically.

Emotional intelligence is when you have the ability to recognize and understand emotions in oneself and others.

And I don't think girls think guys don't have it. They just use their emotional intelligence differently from women.

But guys don't care about other people's emotions because they don't affect them as much as they do women.

Think about it as a woman, You're weaker than a man, so you better be emotionally aware of his emotions or it could cause you your life. Saying that men need to be aware of others emotions when we're not threatened by people to the same degree as women is something only a woman would make up because she thinks men and women are the same.

I discussed this with my guy friend. That's a negative with what you are saying. You cannot speak for every guy. But what I will say is that you guys use logic and are stoic in nature. You hold your emotions back because it was taught to do so while for women we were taught to be expressive with our emotions so it would make us seem more emotionally intelligent but that doesn't mean we necessarily are more emotionally intelligent than men. We just get to use our emotions more openly.

So it makes sense why you think guys should have emotional intelligence, because you think men have the same relationship with our emotions that you have. And I am willing to bet you don't even know why guys don't trust there emotions

I don't think men have the same relationship with their emotions that I do. I just literally said why. Do you not read? You guys are not taught to handle your emotions in the same way as we are. Duh. Society shuns it.

No one has taught anything about their emotions. It's all instinct. You're not taught how to express your emotions. You learn that when you cry you get what you want.

The opposite happens to men. When we cry. We learn that it's unattractive. So that's why we learn how to not trust our emotions cuz bad things happen.

I'm actually teaching you the real world works. You'd be wise to not assume you know more than me about this topic. Just because you repeat feminist talking points doesn't mean it's true. Because I can guarantee you, somebody told you that men need to learn how to handle their emotions. In practice that doesn't even make sense. there's no such thing. you're either intelligent or you're not. the only people who are intelligent but not get emotions are certain sorts of autists. everybody else who's intelligent is also good with emotions. it's not functionally usefull to distinguish those 2 in my opinion and a good chunk of the psychologic litterature agrees with me on this, though there is still some controversy about this.
