Definitely yes.

To me, emotional intelligence is the kind of intelligence that keeps you from making mistakes when choosing a life partner, when making rational decisions or when prioritizing decisions that are best for you and not for the others.

Protecting yourself from harming yourself in a bad relationship is so far the best emotional decision I have made and in a way, it shows that being in charge of your emotions prevails over rushed decisions made by the sexual hormones that tend to shut off rational decision making.

Thus, by shutting off this irrational hormonal decisions, I am able to make rational decisions of the mind and not be blinded by unimportant issues.

Interestingly, you describe a strong analytical intelligence shutting down your emotions and rejecting your own body, which disables/override emotional intelligence. In the sense that your rationality would take control over everything else that you're made of, as a human being

Honeslty no, I don't think I'm very smart emotionally I'm rather dense. I would say only time I can be emotionally intelligent if is the person in front of me is an honest one. Like telling me what's on their heart / thinking / inside them then I can "adapt" my words to them, for example I had a friends who was in love with me but he was also quite depressed so while at beginning I was very honest about the fact I did not find him attractive and had no romantic feelings for him when I got the grasp he was rather depressive then I became softer with him (which gave him the idea he had a chance but I was not about to be mean to a depressive friends, I doubt that would have help).

So in general I think I'm rather bad (even extremely bad at it) but I get softer if I see the other person really love me / care for me and I see I have hurt them with some of my words / action then I try my best to get better for them. But as a general rules I'm not a smart person emotionally if the others person is not able to put words into their feelings.

I get it, sometimes I say things that are a little rough but it's when they don't catch the hint. Sometimes there aren't other options, sometimes people make it so hard.

Emotional intelligence is mostly absent in people who are self-centred and vain. Their caring and kindness comes as an after thought and as a reaction/ response to something made apparent to them or only if it serves their needs.

EI is possessed mostly by deep thinkers who feel energy shifts and can spot nuances and quirks of people and match it with their state of mind/ mood swings.

People who are emotionally intelligent are usually the ones who suffer more anxiety and loneliness because they are overwhelmed by constantly caring about other's feelings and nobody caring about them in return.

I've no idea. I know I value communication and honesty and I think people should be able to express themselves calm and reasonably if they have an issue. I know I have empathy but I can still be selfish at times. I know I am kind and giving. Too much really as people walk over me. Emotionally intelligent? 🤷‍♀️

there's just intelligence. "emotional intelligence" is a word less intelligent people use to make themself feel better about not being that intelligent. the only way you can be generally intelligent but not be good with emotions is with certain conditions like autism. otherwise if you're intelligent, you are also automatically good with emotional stuff.

i'm above average intellect. i only know that cause i had to have it measured back in my school days, cause my teachers thought i'm retarded. turns out if you constantly demand too little from a gifted kid, their brains will just zone out and not take part anymore.

There are plenty of intelligent people who are out of tune with their emotions, you can have a high IQ and still not be emotionally intelligent, it's a real thing, I actually know a few which is what threw your opinion way deep into the ocean...
