Yes, I consider myself extremely intelligent. However, one thing (less intelligent) people do, is assume intelligent people are intelligent at everything or can easily learn anything, when that simply isn't the case. I still suck at math and foreign languages. (I went to public school; they didn't exactly "teach" things there.)
People also assume intelligence allows you to excel at all and any knowledge. While intelligence makes learning and comprehension EASIER, some things are still hard to grasp, no matter what. I had to take a 6-week accelerated neuroscience course back in college, and while I got a B in it (without really studying, mind you), it was still hard as hell. Being smart doesn't allow you to just absorb complex knowledge instantly like some people assume.
And although I understand and comprehend social skills (enough to fake them, at least), I don't want to engage in actively "applying" them to my personality. Basically, being a suck-ass, kissing ass, being a people-pleaser, etc. However, I can hold conversation really well, but that is a skill I taught myself, not actual intelligence.
And this isn't even getting into all the other different types of "intelligence" as well, like dexterity, musical intelligence, creativity, more into linguistics, etc.
I believe I am, but I may just be another delusional idiot. I pride myself on my curiosity, which I believe is a key aspect of intelligence. My mom always tells the story of how when I was 7, I asked her "When we die, do we go to heaven with the same clothes we have on and the same age we die at?" I've always has a philosophical mind and I feel it correlates to intelligence. I was able to play piano without ever taking lessons and my motor skills were always pretty good in comparison to others. I picked movements up a lot faster than most.
Well I don't know? Sometimes I feel like the dumbest person in the room, and other times I feel pretty smart. I know academically I am very intelligent, I have an innate ability to problem solve things that I haven’t been educated to solve, and my IQ was tested, and it is high. But again, sometimes I just really don’t feel like it!

I've the intelligence to know I'm no Einstein but I believe I'm more intelligent than average. If anyone ever loses confidence in their own intelligence levels I recommend they come to GAG it's a great confidence booster to see how dumb people are.
Educated, knowledgeable, experienced, wise and intelligent are all separate but mutually supportive in my mind. For me, intelligence is one's ability to process information. Like the processor speed AND RAM on a computer. You can be exposed to information or a situation for a shorter period of time and still be able to observe and process what you've been exposed to and arrive at a satisfactory conclusion. RAM speed in women tends to be higher than in men, meaning that on average they can multitask more efficiently. Per capita there are more geniuses in men than in women, also more autistic and also serial killers. I'm not looking at this as a competition, simply stating that the male and female brains are different and intelligence studies could be different for men and women. One's experience is going to contribute the type of things that are observed. If a interior decorator and a detective both walk through the same room they will both come to completely different conclusions about what was they observed.
I always come back to Whinnie the Pooh: "Sometimes, I find the Best 'Something', just doing Nothing." Nobody can say where great ideas come from, and sooooooo many think that these BULLSHIT "IQ Tests" measure anything, but one's ability to take tests, and solve 'test problems'! Live the LIE, if you need to, but I don't! LOL!! You can learn AMAZING things from anywhere!! Little children, a Gorilla, and a trash can, birds, ducks. I like one of the quotes, attributed to Einstein, but I don't know if he actually said it: "Intelligence, is Seeing what isn't there!" And by extension, solving the 'problem'!!
I have no idea. Maybe average intelligence. I know a lot about some things but then again I know I lack knowledge in other things. There's always something that I need to learn.

I don't consider myself particularly smart. It is others who will know me much smarter than them, often this is a bad thing. A former colleague of mine with whom I shared the office during my PhD said that I was curious about the world, that is, that I asked questions that no one thought or even asked. Unfortunately, I often fall into the Hayek-Sraffa problem. That is, I give solutions that are not understood. Sraffa commented on Hayek's criticism of Keynes by saying that he used a jackhammer to break a peanut. I'm pretty good about solving complex problems, although I have a tendency to think in a highly non-linear way, which makes many uncomfortable. The worst thing is when you notice that the people in front of you have their brains in saturation when you talk about generically simple things.
I used to be a Mensa member in Japan (over 150 IQ on Mensa test) although I never felt particularly smart. I do tend to pick up new skills rather quickly but I'm also lazy so once I get past the basic beginner stage, I tend to get bored. I tend to envy really talented people who not only pick up their craft quickly but have the lifelong discipline and passion to endlessly practice and master it. Also, there are many things that I just don't seem to know or understand that well. Just because I can pick things up quickly and excel at solving certain types of puzzles doesn't mean I enjoy spending my day studying all the time.
I also don't have the interests of an intelligent type of person. I remember when I started hanging out with other Mensa members, they bored me so much. They'd be talking my ear off about quantum physics or the plausibility of Singularity or something like this. That's not how I want to spend my dinner! I wanted to talk about how pretty the waitress was and get drunk.
I have more interests in common with Beavis and Butthead than Einstein. I do think I would have gotten along extremely well with Mozart though (he's estimated to have around the same IQ as me, and he sounds like a blast to have out with).
Yes because I can adapt anywhere and I learn very fast. I only need to be told/shown once. I can pretty much figure things out myself too. Also because I pick up on languages like a sponge and because I can speak several. Understanding different languges and their grammar is easy for me and the logic behind it registers easily and I am able to internalise it to the level of a native speaker. Also I was always a topper in maths and all the sciences at school.
I found that I got to a certain point where acknowledging my current intelligence only filled me with a sense of pride and a love for things that I already know. So to transcend to further depths of knowledge I had to reguard myself as ignorant once again. I'm dumb as fuck!🤓😵😬
While I've definitely met people who were smarter than me without any doubt, I'm also aware that I'm considerably above average in intelligence. Which is good, given that in some other areas, I'm definitely average or below average. On my best day, I'm lucky to be considered "average" looking, for example. But I make good money and I'm well-respected for my brain and skills, so, that's something...

I do not consider myself an intelligent person, for there is much i do not know. I know a little about a lot, though. I know more about certain subjects that i find fascinating, but i am no where near versed enough in any subject to consider myself an intellectual.
Intelligence isn’t about how much you know. It’s about how fast you learn, adapt, pick up on things. It’s about how good your memory is and how good you are at logic. It is about your learning ability as opposed to what you already know. If it takes you a lot to understand something when explained to you then you’re not that intelligent whereas people who understand things instantly are extremely intelligent.
My answer would have been naïvely different 5 (or more) years ago. But after a rude awakening & new-found humility (and/or 'humiliation'), I have my doubts.
