Should elite colleges like Harvard be shut down or at least investigated for taking money from China?

About 115 colleges got monetary gifts, contracts or both from sources in mainland China in the 6½ years through June, according to a Bloomberg analysis of U. S. government data. The leader was Harvard University, which pulled in $93.7 million, the majority as gifts. The University of Southern California and University of Pennsylvania were second and third.

Elite universities are nothing but Indoctrination camps. What say you?

The money coming from places like China and terrorist-supporting Qatar should be investigated and ended. This is a major way they buy influence and put people in place who are beholden to them/support their agenda. It's by no accident that it's elite universities that get this money.

I'd have to learn more about this but under what pretense or guise is one of our national enemies giving money to schools in our country? No school should be getting money from China. The U. S. should not be selling land to China which they have done. It is as if our leaders are traitors.

All Universities/Colleges should be investigate for the source of their donations/endowments, in the UK investigations have started into Universities and politicians financial backgrounds after high profile cases of Chinese nationals being involved in dubious dealings.

Politicians are ab absolute no-go, but you know that already. Businesses have financially motivated trade interests, so it should depend on if that trade interest puts the national security at risk (e. g. no national broadband network from Chinese companies).

Chinese Funding has achieved the following targets involving each of these spheres of influence.

At Harvard, the Chinese government's point of view is, at times projected as the only relevant point of view on China. China's Human Rights abuses are seldom studied and have in fact been covered up. But Harvard regularly chides India on such issues.

Harvard has continued to educate Chinese Students and government officials on technology that would keep China's development. This serves to strengthen China Economically but Harvard doesn't lecture China in the humanities and social sciences.

China has funded Wokeism at Harvard and its distribution in America using Harvard Network. This has helped penetrate every facet of American Life.

Harvard and other American Universities have close ties with the Chinese Government and Military and have been receiving funds from them. American Universities providing military technology to China should be a concern to India.

300, 000 Chinese students at our Universities and 700 Americans are studying in China. These Chinese students can become competitors in fields like technology, business, or politics, potentially giving China a competitive advantage over US not to mention possible espionage. Stupid shit like this will end up hurting all of us much like the border crisis doesn't hurt me right now until a bomb goes off in a city and kills loved ones.

Wrong Most electronics, including computers, are assembled in China from parts in a complex supply chain that ends in China. Parts from Japan, South Korea, South East Asia, and even the US go to China to be assembled in China. On average, the value added in electronics from China contains less than 5%.
