Not the one you imagined. It takes effort from both parties.
10 moNumber one is communication they communicate openly, express how they feel, what they want, and express any concerns directly. In the early stages of the relationship this helps build that bond or on the second hand people may realize they aren’t the best for one another so they can both find someone whose a better fit.
At some point later down the road one another may know exactly what the other person wants/needs without anyone asking because the communication is so strong. They don’t play passive aggressive games, they don’t lie saying they’re fine when they aren’t, they don’t beat around the bush, or expect the other to be a mind reader.
Equal effort. Equal effort may look different for every relationship depending on what both people are wanting even if that means effort is being gone in different roles. The relationship isn’t one sided… They love one another and take care of one another the best they can.
Trust. Trust isn’t just given it’s earned long term by both people and once the relationship is serious there is trust between one another. Not blind trust but both people have integrity and even if there may be opportunities to cheat on someone they know that the other person would never do that. They don’t become overly protective or defensive. They know worst case scenario is that their partner will leave but NEVER cheat.
There is emotional support going both ways. You’re there for one another during not only the best of times but worst of times as well. When one person hurts so does the other. They don’t expect you to be perfect all the time and are the ones behind the scenes keeping you strong to the world.
They don’t hide things. Privacy is important don’t get me wrong especially if you’re not married. But theh don’t lie about things or do sneaky things behind the other persons back.
They love and respect one another. They don’t test the other person. Sure nobody is perfect at different points in the relationship there are problems they have to work through. But they don’t intentionally hurt the other person and when they do wrong they apologize sincerely they mean it and feel bad. They don’t test the other person to see what they can get away with or violate their values or boundaries.14 Reply- 10 mo

@This1isaspitter Ouch, ghosting definitely hurts! It makes one confused like "How long have we been friends?" There's nothing wrong with making yourself less available to them.
- 10 mo
Ghosting is cowardly. Directly cut off contact by telling someone not to contact you unless they have a legitimate reason….
They’re pregnant. They got a STD…. Etc. be direct

And when making love you make it all about her you know how to read emotions her eyes, the color of her cheeks the way she moves.
The way she moans. Because when you can do that you are reading her and she's telling you everything she wants without saying one word
You can either give it to her or you can hold back and tease but no matter what.
You're going to take her to the highest peak? The highest mountain you're going to become one with never before pushing pulling each other in as 1.

@AviatorTom is it not rude or too soon to then say in conjunction to that captain - that "they had trouble in paradise from time to time" aka - they weren't perfect? 😔
- 10 mo
I know it can be considered humorous to say trouble in paradise with a snicker yet, I'm amazed any couple doesn't argue

@mysteriousNicholas That's not my opinion, it's theirs. Each of them said during interviews that they didn't always agree on things, and working through those times was one of the strengths of their relationship.

@AviatorTom what do you think then captain? It's better to be single, to play the field, get old and grey, old and grey with offspring - ?
- 10 mo
@mysteriousNicholas of those options... single when young, then old and grey with offspring

Guys, make her feel safe and adore her. Yes, she's an independent, intelligent woman, but still hold her in your arms. And dance with her to no music while the food is cooking. - Expect effort from your partner, with their twist. And expect them to do it with errors, just like you do.
Best of luck

10 moOne where each party is more focused on giving and fulfilling the needs of their mate and concerned with doing good to them.
If each person wasn't so obsessed with getting their way and only worrying about what the other person does for them and focused on giving a lot of relationships would be a lot better.

10 moA healthy relationship is built on trust, respect, and communication. You feel safe being yourself, disagreements are handled calmly, and you support each other’s growth—both as a couple and as individuals. It’s a partnership, not a power struggle.
01 ReplyTo stay loyal in good times and bad times. It is easy to stay in good times. But more important to stay in bad times also! That makes the bonding stronger. Without cheating!
