Signing the ex of as crazy is a typical standard from what I can see. Guys will say “she was crazy” or “she’s a lesbian” to prevent his immediate circle from pursuing a woman he’s been with. Women tend to complain in a different way (that preserves their own reputation and makes the guy seem like a cad).

Does it REALLY hurt a reputation? Short of attacking a person at their job I’d say no. People gossip but they also forget. Ragging on a person to their boss or colleagues is a low blow, however and should never be tolerated… it’s what restraining orders are for.

Absolutely. It's a classic tactic to deflect from their own behavior. The best mitigation is to live your truth unapologetically. Your real reputation is built with those who see and value you, not by the rumors of an ex.

I have heard that men try to insult you with the thing that they most admire about you. So yes I am crazy. But I am a good crazy, the kind that makes you addicted. I do not label myself with those ridiculous words but since the whole purpose of it is to make you lose it, I keep calm and embrace it and make THEM feel crazy for liking it. 🤣

There is a legal term "defamation of character". If you can prove it, and afford it, get a lawyer. You will never convince those he turned on you so why not cash out on the damage.
