How does she see me?

This girl i used to have an interesting/complicated relationship with texted me that she broke up with her boyfriend.

I didn’t know what to think of her as we left things in a weird place (bc of both of us) but a couple texts in and she makes it clear she really wants to see me?

I am out of town for now but don’t know what to do when I’m back.

What does her messaging me now mean for how she sees me?

She either wants someone to talk to and sees you as a friend or she’s confused and wants to forget about him and sees you as a replacement, which wouldn’t be good because there’s no way someone can get over someone else so quickly. Im guessing it’s the second one, if it is, seeing you isn’t a good thing. People need to know how to cope with discomfort and if her way of moving past this is looking for someone else to not go through heartbreak than imagine what she would do if a relationship isn’t in bad terms or going through hurdles.

I’m leaning towards the second too, or relationship before wasn’t exactly purely friendly.
But we ended in a weird place and I am debating whether it’s worth keeping it there or risking it.
Though I always wondered about what would happen if we made it work then

Yes, well it does sound like it’s the second one to me, however like I said, it would just mean she is trying to use you as a quick replacement because she feels lonely and sad. I guess you can see her and see what she says to you.
