Why would he give me his number and hasn’t text me at all?

I’ve been talking to someone I know for a while on social media… things were going smooth until we slowly was finalizing plans… then, he slowly hasn’t been as responsive and gave me his number that it might be easier on text and work has been busy. I was being playful with him that if he is saying text will be faster for him and we can test that theory. So I texted him last night but he hasn’t even reply to me all day with my greeting and now it’s evening time… 🫤

I personally don't like texting, but as soon as I see a text, I reply, since it's rude not to. As much as people are on their phones, I highly doubt that he was too busy not to see the text. I would let it slide (because life does happen), but if it becomes a pattern, then it comes across as if you're not someone important to respond to. That is when you turn him into the same.
