Why hasn’t he texted me since he asked for my number?

He asked for my number and I gave it to him (expecting maybe a text later on during the night) and it’s going on day two with no text.

He’s in the process of leaving his current girlfriend who he lives with and apparently from what he’s said before is that she’s checked his phone while he’s had text messages with one of his friends that is also a woman.

What is he waiting for? Is he stalling? Did he forget?

My friend says he usually waits more than 24 hours to contact a girl that gives her number cause there are boundaries you need to consider when you talk to a new person you're not familiar with. If they text sooner, it's just to confirm you did not lie and give a fake number.

He said he wasn’t happy with her anymore and he doesn’t want to be with her and he told her that a few days ago and they got into a really big fight over it and he seemed aggravated when he was talking about it but then told me “I’d give you a hug but I smell like shit rn” and then the very next day he asked what I was doing on Wednesday and I told him “working but I should be off by 8pm” and then an hour later he asked for my number and haven’t seen or heard from him since. Not sure what to think :/

I've read that guys wait a couple of days purposely in order to look tough and regain control. They don't want to admit that women have that much power over them, and they have experienced that women treat men differently when they look too interested. So whatever you do, do not have sex with this guys until WAY past the 90 day rule (and don't tell him that's your agenda either).

I truly don’t know if he’s telling me the truth about leaving her or if he’s hesitate on it because they’ve been together for a few years but she’s crazy jealous and insecure of everything and last week I had a rough day and he asked what was wrong and I feel like such a piece of shit for telling him this but he INSISTED I told him, and so I said, “I don’t want you to go home to her.” “See how fucked up it sounds? I shouldn’t of even said it.” and he said “If it makes you feel any better, neither do I.” Then that same night he told her he was going to leave and they got into a big fight.

Nope. No insecurities from me. I know my self worth and I’ve even told him that.

Although, the day he told me they got into a big fight and this was prior when he told me they got into an argument, I was messing with him and I asked “hey, you’re girlfriend here!“ and gave me this “what the fuck?” confused look and he goes “Wait, are you being serious or kidding?” “She better not be” and I said “it’s a good thing I’m fucking with you.” and he goes “oh okay. good. I’d hope so.” and then he told me an hour later, “I knew she wouldn’t show up here because we got into this big argument over me telling her I was leaving.” And then I asked him what happened and he goes “I told her I was leaving and we got into it. I’m not exactly what was said between each other or if he told her about me (which I HIGHLY DOUBT he did). but later I caught a glimpse of one of her social media accounts and she made a post saying, “When will I ever be enough?”

I always wait to send the text, for this exact reason, makes the girl think about you. If dudes got the same game plan as me, sounds like it’s working perfectly lol. Don’t stress, if he doesn’t text by the end of the week then yeah he doesn’t care
