Anonymous(45 Plus)10 moMy dreams? No. But I did let a good one get away. Do I regret it? Well given a second chance I'm still not sure I'd do thing differently. So it doesn't sound like I regret it that deeply.

10 moI found the girl of my dreams, but she was 100% gay, nothing sexual at all ever happened, we were close friends for over 3 years though, if I could have been with her for life I would have given up sex completely,,,

10 moI've lost some girls for sure. But I've learned the whole "girl of your dreams" thing is Hollywood marketing. In the rearview mirror your mind will usually find a way to rationalize you being better off in the long run. Whether that's a coping mechanism or reality breaking through the fog of lust can be debated until the end of time.
I'm not looking for perfect. Perfect is an abstract concept that doesn't exist in the real world. Excellent (to me) is good enough.

10 moBack when I was in my early twenties I was seeing someone. Things happened and we broke up. It wasn't until years later that realized how perfect she was for me. I regret losing her to this day and think about her often.

10 moYes, at the time in the heat of the moment, I was sad I didn't get together with many girls. Looking back and analysing them and the situation, I'm glad I didn't get together with most of them but for sure there were some good ones I missed out on. Many I never asked out... Who dares wins!

9 moYeah. I think I did. I don’t know anything would have saved us, just hit different objectives in our lives we figured out after we got engaged. But I would have done some things differently with what I know now. We are tight. It’s still a possibility. It’s hard to really seriously date when you don’t feel anyone compares to that person though.
00 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. Girl of your dreams? haha , this is pure fantasy stuff where you were not with her long enough to really know her , I have let any number of good ones go , for various reasons , mainly timing , but " girl of dreams " .. No.

10 moYes. She was my best friend for over 20 years. I had an emotional affair with her for 6 yeats and when I told her I filed for divorce and was moving home to be with her she ghosted. That was 5 years ago. Guys. Never let them out of the friend zone. Its not worth it.
00 ReplyYes. I think we all have. Maybe a pending conversation or a gesture that never was could have changed everything.

10 moNo because of the dream part, that's exactly what it was, just a dream, an illusion. She was nothing like I thought. None of them are.

10 moAre you asking in the context of the guy did some sort of wrong and she ended things … hence a sense of regret? If yes, NO all around.

10 moI most certainly did loose the girl of my dreams, but I have nothing to regret because it happened due to an accident. Even if I could have been right next to her there’s nothing I could have done.

10 moNo. If you try to tried and did all that's possible then there's no need to regret.
That person just wasn't for me. I deeply believe in that.
10 Reply 13.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. There are women I rejected that I wish I had dated. One in particular who had pretty severe acne scarring but was otherwise bright and attractive.

Every fucking day for over 1/3rd of a century.00 ReplyI thought I found her but it wasn't meant to be we had a problematic relationship after a while.. she resented my son and I resented her family and friends for including themselves into the matter
00 Reply2K opinions shared on Dating topic. The person of your dreams is that person today. Tomorrow or 10 years from now, things might be different, so I don’t obsess about it.
