I don't know about a turnoff. I think it's hilarious marketing on the part of manufacturers selling overpriced high profit trucks to insecure man babies who don't need them so they can feel like a man. Welcome to Capitalism. In this case I have zero sympathy for the victims.

Well usually I think people need trucks for work. A lot of times trucks are also useful, but if it’s a car that’s meant to show off than it is a bit of a turn off for me. I don’t like extravagancies and I don’t really like show offs. I personally like to be humble myself, so I don’t think I’d fit in with someone that likes that kind of attention.

For work where they have a practical use, I don't think they're an issue. For some men, I see them both as a midlife crisis and a way to show dominance where they otherwise cannot.
