I haven’t seen him in 4 years, but I love his personality and loves. I think he’s really attractive. Even though I’ve never seen him again-I still miss him and his presence and his vibe. After that, I became really attracted to guys who look like him. I tried dating guys with the same hairstyle, similar hair texture, the same skin tone, and even the same race as him. Sometimes I think of him, and whenever I see a guy who looks like him, it brings him back to my mind. I used to have some guys interested in me, but because they didn’t look like him, it was hard for me to take them seriously or truly like them. Sometimes I randomly think of him and I even remember the date and year I last seen him.

Yeah, unfortunately this is has become obsessive at this point. It is not drastic since you're not doing things that are inherently bad (e. g. stalking or spamming him on social media) but it has been 4 years... I can understand trying to date similar guys as a rebound, I think a lot people have done that at least once in their life, but its been 4 years...

I guess maybe you needed closure but never got one. I will say though, I went through the same thing with my first girlfriend although not as long. Was obsessed for over 2 years myself. It takes time but the feelings will fade.

You should also try giving other guys that don't resemble him a chance. I understand they don't interest you but if you don't at least give them a chance you won't have the opportunity to fall for their personality and character. Dating similar looking guys only serves to reinforce the the obsesssion I feel.

It's a combination of both. I've been stuck on the same girls since I was 18. Unfortunately, I think she is breadcrumbing me, so it's been really, really hard for me to quit her.
