HHow can I go about asking my neighbor out?

So... I've lived next to her for a good 5 years now.

To the best of my knowledge she's single. I've never seen any guy coming & going. Except her adult son who still lives with her.

Here's the thing... I've never really had any conversation with her that lasted more than probably 3 minutes. Usually what happens is I'll be walking out my door to my car as she's walking from her car to her door & we say hi.

I guess my question is how can I innate a longer chat with her so we can get to know each other & I can eventually ask her out without seeming weird? She's very pretty.

& another thing... I don't cross paths with her on a consistent basis it's very sporadic & random. So no real way to predict when I'll see her next.

Maybe you should get to know her a little better before asking her out on a date. Have a barbeque with your friends and invite her over. Make sure your friends bring their and girlfriends so she's not the only girl there. Invite your other neighbors so she's not the only neighbor there.

Offer her a beer or drink and strike up a conversation like a normal person

Yeah, it’s like guys forget that girls, first and foremost, are people. Just talk to them, it’ll work itself out
