What personally I’d have issue with is disparity in life stage as if it were me in your shoes I’d think I had more ‘good years’ left in me than my partner assuming the relationship goes the distance but that’s probably a me thing , I just wouldn’t be able to get past that.


When I was 22 I had a brief affair with a woman of 45, she wanted it to continue even though we didn’t frame it as anymore than fun from the start and even though there was a pretty strong connection. I was into her big time but just couldn’t reconcile having a relationship with a woman twice my age.
