I was 23 and dated a 44 year old for a year.
She was a single mom too and i met her daughter once.


It’s definitely possible.


Now if it’s a good idea I would say that depends on a lot of things…

A 44 year old woman has already lived half her life.
Many things that are new to you are old news to her so in terms of experiencing life together it gets tough.

You wanna have a wild party till morning?
She did that 30 times before you were even born and has no more interest in it.

You got your first promotion at work?
She’s probably at management level already

It’s simple math:
The longer you have lived the more you have lived.

That forces you to speed up your own growth and match her level in a lot of places.
While for her she gets go recapture some of her youth so its a win for her.

And the worst part is: it’s not her fault most of the time.

At least for me, she wanted me to have all the things I wanted out of life I just couldn’t feel like it was real when Im sharing it with someone who’s unimpressed and just cheering me on out of a sense of elderly pity.

So make sure you know exactly what you want and what you’ll be giving up going into this.

Personally, it got to be too much for me and I ended it even though we had a dynamic that was otherworldly and I never got along with someone the way I did with her

I suppose it's possible. It's not like women ONLY prefer older men. If that's the case, the term cougar would not exist outside the animal kingdom.
