Even if they won't admit it, I know why they generally like taller guys. One is the dominance factor. Guys are supposed to appear dominant. Bigger guys do (not fat, but muscular and tall). The other is the illusion of size=strength. This is true to an extent, but short guys are seen as inferior to taller guys. This leads into the illusion of a guy protecting their girl. The illusionary aspect is that a taller guy can do that better than a short guy.
