When it comes to dating: Why is okay for men to have standards but not women?

Men want their standards to be respected. But when it comes to women, they are chastised.

Women can have standards, as long as they are on the same or similar level to what they want in a potential partner. The problem is that the majority of women want a man that is FAR beyond themselves. Most women aren't anywhere close to being the same level of quality as the men they want. Plus, many women think some things like a high income or college degree adds to their appeal to men and it does NOT. That is like a man thinking he should be more desirable because he is only 5' 5" tall and so poor he is homeless. Something only adds to appeal value when the opposite sex actually wants that in a partner.

I'm sorry, but what? Most womens standards in dating are through the roof these days. It's the opposite way around.

You can have standards. Just don't complain how small your dating pool is after you've applied said standards.👍
